How T-shirts Took Flight in Columbus

Shuttle America T-Shirt Design
Shuttle America was a well-established regional airline with a large maintenance hub in Columbus, Ohio. These professionals played a crucial role in maintaining and servicing the fleet and ensuring the seamless operation of the airline.
With the integration of new team members, the client envisioned a symbol of team spirit. They wanted to cultivate an identity representing their specific contributions to the airline's success.
The challenge was clear – create a custom t-shirt design for the department.
Turning to a local small business for screen printing, a 2-color print job was decided. The aircraft's distinctive silhouette was captured by strategically using different percentages of the white ink. The design also used negative space, which is the black fabric of the shirt, to render the dark, shadowy areas.
The objective was to craft a visual narrative for the team’s collective identity through design.
The response to the initial run of T-shirts was overwhelmingly positive, prompting the need for additional orders.
The client was satisfied and elated with the outcome, which helped foster a sense of identity and unity among the team members.
